Eric began his insurance career in September of 1991 with Farmers Insurance Group after serving 4 years in the United State Air Force in Omaha, Nebraska.

His career with Farmers spanned 19 years, during which time he received numerous awards including the Blue Vase Award, 2 time Toppers Club Member, as well as multiple Commercial Insurance and Life Insurance Achiever awards. In 2001, Eric was recognized as the largest producing Commercial agent in the country. He specialized in Restaurants, and Habitational Insurance, which included Apartment complexes, and Master Condominium Associations. During his tenure as an agent, he also worked with his District Manager in training new agents, most of whom remain in business today.

In 2010, Eric was recruited by the Iroquois Group, and became a Regional Manager with a 4 state territory footprint that included MO, KS, NE, and IA, which required a move from Nebraska to Kansas City, MO. His responsibilities included re-kindling existing agency relationships that Iroquois had in the Midwest, as well as developing new ones.

Eric and his wife, Kristy, decided that owning and operating a full service independent agency was their passion in business. As a result, in 2011, they started Briarcliff Insurance Group, Inc. in Kansas City, MO. They are currently licensed to do business in eight states – MO, KS, NE, IA, SC, IN, TX and FL, and represent many companies for all types of insurance, both business and personal, as well as life and health.
